X-treme Gardens!!

As a dog, I prefer more of a natural garden. Mom has her garden knick knacks about. But when it comes to garden gnomes and pink flamingos, Dad has a saying "Less is More."
But, we do applaud those who have a sense of humor and the checkbook to take their gardening vision to the extreme. Any landscape that can make you slam on the brakes and have a reaction of some sort, is worthy in our book.  Here is a place that we spotted yesterday in the car.
Dozens and dozens of  life sized carved critters!
Stanzie was beside herself! An Airedale's dream...Deer, Racoons, Bears, Eagles, Coyotes, Cows, Skunks and Squirrels!
We both felt the need to get out of the car in a big way!
This made Mom want to dig out some photos of other extreme gardens she has seen recently. We wonder how long it takes to grow back a body part, if you slip up with the hedge trimmers??
Here's a front courtyard we strolled by one time. There was a small water feature with lots of Barbie and Ken dolls. Looks like some wild spring break party in their front yard!

Well, back to work in my garden, where today, I'm keeping it real!
Happy Digging!

  1. That's some garden! We like it more natural though. (Ours does have the odd little animal statue here and there--Australian animals--you have to look to see them.)

    Great pictures.

  2. Those gardens are a bit over the top for me too. I mean, if you have an actually doggie as decoration, who needs all that other stuff?

  4. BowWowzer Wyatt! Those are some majorly doodadded gardens!! Mommy likes the chainsaw-carved figures and wants a bear holding a sign for our driveway at the cabin. So far she has not been able to find one that says what she wants. Guess what that is....."GO AWAY"!!! Yup. She has a door mat that says "leave" and a metal sign with one side that says "welcome" and the other side says "go away". Not that she's antisocial or anything. BOL.

  5. Bizarre gardens for sure, but to each his own. We think most of Mom's gardening this year will be in the front of the house where little Miss Puppypants can't get at the pots and the plantings.
