Back to school snack!

Today, is back to school day in Oregon City!
I wish I could get on that bus with the neighbor kids :(
If I could, I would pack some dog cookies in this lunch box!
Nelly and Finni's   Lucky Puppy Biscuits

500g plain flour
1 tablespoon of Lard (Finni's favorite!)
a handful of wheatgerm
a generous dollop of peanut butter
a generous handful of cheese (YES!)
and a beef stock cube (optional)
water

Mix all the ingredients except the water thoroughly. Then add the water until you have a nice dough that doesn't stick when rolled out. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Then cut into your favorite shapes. Place on baking trays and bake at 180 degrees C (350F) for the first 20 minutes and then turn down to 140 degrees C (285F) and keep baking until those biscuits are Kerunchy! Biscuits are done when you can't push down on them with your fingers...about 45 minutes. Take out of the oven, cool and eat!!
Here is Finni doing a taste test!

The next recipe was sent to us by Baby Fritzy, Sammi, Max and Lady
Don't forget to stop by their blog and say HI!
I'm thinking Baby Fritzy is all grown up....hehe!

Stanzie's Lunchbox
Here is what Stanzie is packing in her Yogi Bear lunchbox!
BOWSER DOG BISCUITS!

3/4 cup of hot water
1/3 cup margarine only
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg beaten
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tablespoon molasses

Slowly pour hot water over margarine and stir until melted. Add everything but flour. Add flour gradually. Knead, adding more flour if needed to get a nice dough that can be rolled out.
Roll out 1/4"-1/2" thick. Cut in strips or use cookie cutter. Bake 350 degrees F for 20-30 minutes. Cool. Store in freezer.

Bowser Dog Biscuits are the light ones, the ones with blue spots are Sugar's recipe...more on that tomorrow!

Happy Back to School and don't fur-get your lunchbox!
(lunchbox pictures are from E-bay!)

I love both of the recipes and I will beg my mom to bake those yummy treats soon...unless she gets distracted by work or something!
