Deep Thoughts by Wyatt

Sometimes, I wonder if plants feel happy and proud when they get pruned...
I know I feel happy and proud, when I get groomed.

Something tells me that this Forsythia feels ashamed right now, cuz Dad pruned it a little to much.
It's okay little shrub, it will grow back!

I think this grape vine likes it's new haircut.
It has a good groomer (Mom) haha!
Well, that was about all the deep thoughts I can muster up for today.
Time to eat Strawberries!

Happy Digging!
Wyatt

  1. That grape vine is stylin'! That's very kind of you to try and make the Forsythia feel better, Wyatt. You certainly do deserve a delicious strawberry snack!

  8. I am admiring your collar Wyatt. Does that have real stones one it. It looks very good on you. One good reason to stay trimmed up, to show off your collars!
Save some of them strawberries for me!!

  9. Enjoy those strawbs!

Pruning too much must be a guy thing. All the dads we know prune until there's not much plant left!

  13. I think shrubs like to be pruned because they usually grow back looking all fresh and happy.

  16. I bet they like to be pruned more than I like to be groomed. I like being groomed, just not going thru the process!

You should see our fig tree...looks like someone put hollow sticks all around it cause she said don't cut it and he listened. What a knucklehead!! Have fun eating those strawberries!!

(Mama's other 'dale, Sadie, used to eat figs right off the fig tree and drag ears of corn in from the field! I prefer to have my meals made for me! hehe)

  28. Hmmm, my deep thought is that I think there's a reason why my mom keeps the strawberry plants in the front yard and the Airedales in the back.
