Blooms and Bears

It has always fascinated us, how plants will throw out a bloom in the middle of winter.
Several days of 60ish weather and an otherwise leafless rosebush says, "Game On!"

In other news around the yard....
Panda Pull Toy found his way back home.
He needs a bath, but is in good shape...Oh Happy Day!

On the other paw....

Poor Polly Penguin is not fairing too well.

She is still in one piece, but threatening to run away from home!

Wyatt

  14. Hmmm... I wonder why Panda decided to go out there... Mom says the day Lilac passed away our miniature rosebush put out a single bloom that lasted almost until Christmas. Another one burst into full bloom and they were blooming until just a few days before Christmas. It was crazy, but nice to see that bright pink every day!

  20. We have some very confused flowers over here in the UK, as they think its Spring because the weather has not been as cold as usual.

I am feeling just a tad sorry for Polly Penguin there.

  30. Hey Wyatt! Nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by my new blog thingy!

I can't imagine having those new flowers around during the winter! That would happen to my person in Colorado, but here in the GST, it never happens during the winter! The weeds do tend to regain some life though!

You guys get white stuff on your lawns in Oregon? What does it feel like? I have never seen that stuff! It looks like it isn't too dangerous, but I am not convinced!

PS - So sorry about Polly Penguin.....(Run, Polly! Run!)

Thanks again, and bark at ya later!
