Walking with Woody

It was lookin' to be just another rainy indoor day...
a day with nothing better to do, but torment my sister Stanzie.

So were we surprised, when we got in the truck and headed to a new hiking trail.
And look who was there!
Cuzin Woody!!
Stanzie, Woody and I , pulled our people all around.

There were many new smells to smell.
And horse poop too!
Lots of little critter holes in the ground.

Then, on the way home we stopped at the grocery store.
Behind the store is a pond and a grassy area where you can spot Nutria.
Interesting creatures. They look like a cross between a Beaver and a Rat.
We barked...it ran for the water.

Not too shabby for a rainy day!
Wyatt

  15. That looks like a muskie muskrat. He steals My apples in the autumn when they fall off My apple tree and he swims away with them to store them for winter.

  18. OH WOW... what a grrrreat day!! Cussin Woody and a NUTRIA??
I did not know they could live that far north. My mom and dad saw nutria when they were Louisiana ... out in the swamp area. They eat them down there. They call them Swamp Rats. hehehe

  20. We thought we saw a nutria hit on the side of the road, then stopped to look and it was actually a beaver. They do look a lot alike.
