An Afternoon with Asta

Wyatt's mom here at the keyboard today....
After we harvested the garden, we left the real Wyatt and Stanzie with a trusted house sitter and took a 2 week tour of Vienna, Budapest, Slovakia, Poland and Prague. We had a wonderful time and took over 2000 pictures. I want to share a few of our favorites. Especially, the afternoon that we met Asta and her family in Budapest.
We took a few wrong turns on the way, but finally found our way to Asta, Ami and George's charming neighborhood.

First stop, Ice Cream!

How do you say, 'La Dolce Vita' in Hungarian?

We were a day late for Asta's birthday. But, she was still all smiles as she unwrapped her toy from Oregon.

A toast to birthdays and dogs and people who like dogs.

Asta meets Flat Stanzie, Flat Wyatt and Flat George (who we printed out in Vienna, because we forgot to pack him!)

It was a beautiful day, in a beautiful place.

The view from Asta's place.

The WFT collection.

Smiles and hugs

Ami's fabulous work.

It was so hard to say good-bye.
We needed more than an afternoon.

Wyatt's Mom

Stay tuned as we work our way through Budapest and beyond....

She is a bootiful girlie isn't she???

    And my BFF.

She came to our house here in PA several years back...their trip OUT of Pittsburgh sounded a lot like your taxi ride into BP. I only bit her once on the butt...pretty good for the Lacie.

Thanks for posting...Ami's artwork is divine!!

  26. We're not at all sure about who had the most fun and who enjoyed the visit the mostest! From what we hear (from a little Hungarian bird), your visit ... people and flats ... was superb! (We're just a bit jelly!)

Treasure your memories, they'll be with you forever!
