Skinny and Shady

Today, I'm looking for the perfect skinny shrub to go in a shady spot.

Irish Yew?

or Sasanqua Camellia?

  1. I love the flowers. What did you pick?

  2. I would pick the irish tree... it's green and maybe that fits better to a shady place than one with blossoms?

  3. We would pick the Sasanqua for just a little pop of color in a shady spot.

  5. You are looking quite skinny today Wyatt, with your short haircut.

  7. We think the Irish Yew might stay skinny. The camellia looks like it might bulk out later. You're looking very trim and handsome...not that we want anyone to plant you.

  8. They are both very nice, but Mom votes for the camellia:)

    Happy Wednesday, Wyatt!!!

  12. If you've got the right location for the camelia I think you will enjoy it. They bloom in late winter so that is nice and they are a tidy plant. Enjoy!

  19. Why the Yew would probably be less work in the long run though I see them in hedges but the flowers on the Camellia would be a pretty addition. Oh shucky darn get them both.

  20. We're betting that the choice depends on how tall and wide the plant needs to be in a few years.
