Flower Friday, a 2019 Plan!

As we tidied up the garden for fall, we began to reflect on what we would like to see more of next year.

What plants provide the most joy and color, with the least amount of effort?

What plants do the deer and rabbits ignore?

 

As we head towards November, here is what is still blooming in our landscape.

 

Nasturtiums, wild Daisies, Foxglove, ornamental Grasses, Hollyhocks, Sage, Roses and Helenium.

Naughty Terrier Weekend

Dad decided to fill in all the holes that we spent all summer perfecting.

All those hours of digging to create our terrier lounging spots and hiding places!!

 

Hmmph!!

 

We'll show dad....by stealing one of his gloves!!

 

 We buried it in the fresh dirt that he put in our old terrier hole.

While we were burying the glove, we unearthed Christmas 2015!!

Note to dog-self: Ask Santa for some new toys.

 

Mom said "Where's Tegan? She's been awfully quiet the last 30 minutes?!"

Our peeps know that silence is golden, unless you own a couple of terriers!

 

That will show her to be late serving us our supper!!

Our Apple/Pear Road Trip

Just a short drive up the Columbia River Gorge, is the land of all things Apple and Pear!

 

Bring home the Newtown Pippins, Fuji, Eve's Delight, Spitzenburg, Red Bartletts, Hosui Asian and MORE!

 

There was a wood-fired pear pizza for lunch.

Then, time spent along the river front park, getting our paws wet.

 

 

The first thing our mom made with the bounty.

That's HER dinner.....BOL

 

The next recipe will be

 apple and pear dog biscuits!!

Fall Foliage Saturday!

The flowers are fading fast, but there is still so much foliage and color to see!

 

We spotted a Beauty Berry on our college walk.

 

and a lovely porcelain vine too!

 

Back home, we busy ourselves with the last harvestable garden crops.

Some for eating, some for planting next year!

Our weekly arrangements have taken a seasonal turn.
