I just want some lunch!

 Across the street from our veterinary clinic was a plant sale, with all proceeds going to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Of course, we had to stop and buy some plants! 

We got 4 big Blueberry plants and 3 ornamental Barberry plants, one ceramic planter and some pruning shears.

I just wanted to go to the Bert's Chuck Wagon Booth!

Hail and Tulips

Most folks wait until a nice sunny day to go for a Sunday drive.

Well, we are not most folks. 

Oh Hail! 

This is the scene today at Christmas Tree Grandma's.

Also, on our agenda was the Holland America Bulb Farm in Woodland, Wa.

We almost aborted the plan, due to the hail and wind. We figured the tulips would be done for.

But, Stanzie REALLY wanted to go and how can you say "NO" to sister Stanzie?

Bubbles, Barksters and Bugsy

The April Bugsy's Box has Arrived!!

It's always filled with interesting things for us to try.

News from the Garden!

The Crab Apple Tree is blooming!

I'm cuter than a tulip.

The tomato seedlings are cold, but continue to grow under plastic.

Next week it will be in the 80's. I think they will LIKE that!

And, I keep taste testing the hops and they are not ready yet!

I'll pack my blanket, a bowl, a wobbly Kong and a can of pumpkin.

The suitcase is labeled St. Olaf, Iowa. Sounds Good!

Cha-Cha-Cha Changes

Just a note to our Facebook Friends, we were recently locked out of our Facebook page, because we were set up incorrectly as human and I 'Wyatt' am a dog. The folks at Facebook asked us very nicely to set up a Fan-Pet page instead. Which we did.....and 3 years worth of posts, pictures and 900 friends......poof into the clouds :(

You can still visit 'Wyatt Airedale' on Facebook. You can comment and give us a thumbs up. But, the downside is WE can't comment or like your FB posts. 

This is what we think about THAT!

As soon as mom gets time, she will start her own Human Facebook Page and go find all 900 of our friends, so we can see, like and comment on all of your activities.

The Cheery News of the Day-

Nephew Murphy completed 6 weeks of obedience. 

We visited his last class and graduation.

He excels at the "Down-Stay" command.

Even with the distractions of toys, treats and running children.

Oh, it is taxing for a terrier!

Sheila the "Super Hero" groomer!

Teaching Murphy manners and telling him about grooming.

Murphy takes his first swim in the pond and rolls around a bit, before hitting the grooming table for the very FIRST TIME.

Okay, Sheila! Work your magic.

I can see Murphy on the table and he is having a Hissy Fit.

Sheila is taking her time to calm him and make it a less stressful experience.

She is earning her stripes today.

Murphy wants NO part of it!

Meanwhile, mom keeps sniffing me, cuz I had "Almond Crisp" Shampoo and I smell nice.

Clematis and Fuzzy Dogs!

It is still too early and cold for most Clematis. If you see any for sale at the garden centers, most likely they have been forced in a greenhouse.

We stopped at Luscher Farms in Lake Oswego, Or. this week to check in on the Clematis Collection and see if anything was blooming yet.

The Clematis in the 'Atragene' group are in full bloom outside in the garden.

This variety is called 'Constance'. 

Hey, that's almost like my name, Constanza!

  

These Clematis actually need a cold winter and do well down to zone 3.

We love the way they have been trained into this spring blooming Viburnum.

The shrub provides the support for the vine and hides the woody part of the vine, which is never very attractive.

Plants are for sale on Fridays, 10 am-Noon. Also, there are plant sales on special weekends, check the link to the website.

In other news, we are getting Aire-Cuts this Friday. Nephew Murphy is getting his hair done too!
