Our friend Karla, stayed here with her family, when she was 6 years old.
The Sou'Wester is a funky collection of vintage trailers, vintage cabins, RV hook ups and hotel lodging. If you are accustom to staying in fine hotels, then this is not the place for you! If you are accustom to roughing it and are looking for a different experience, then you will fit right in!
The Sou'Wester has free weekend concerts, bikes to loan, a sauna, artist's workshops and an honor system store (need a 6-pack? just stuff your money in the box...love it!)
What is it like to camp in a vintage trailer?
"The Earl"
Where Mark, Carol and Samson stayed.
50's era trailer with full bed, kitchen, bathroom and living room.
A little warm inside during the day, no A/C just fans. But, it cools off nicely at night.
(oh, and one of their windows fell out during their stay....LOL)
"The Jet"
Where we stayed.
Loved the faux myrtle wood table and the doorbell!!
An eclectic collection of dishes and kitchenware. Between the 3 trailers, we were able to put together enough cookware and silverware to make it work!
"The Picnic"
Where Karla and her 2 dogs stayed.
Each trailer had a working record player!
Sunday Breakfast in "The Jet"
Cake and Eggs!
Sleeping arrangements in "The Jet"
Comfy!
Tegan dines in "The Jet"
Wine-ing outside "The Picnic" trailer.
Saturday breakfast at the "Picnic" Trailer.
Close to the World's Longest Beach!
28 miles of beach to "unleash"!!
Close to Oysterville.
