Fit Mom Friday!

I know the way to stay slim and trim, is to go for lots of walks.

That is why I was really happy, when the folks at 'Project Pet Slim Down'

sent my mom a "Pet"ometer and a gift card to buy some new sneakers!

(they sent us a cat toy too...hee hee...I must remember to give that to the neighbor kitty for his birthday)

So, I have my leash....

and it is my job to get my mom out walking!!

Take your mom for a walk, she will thank you for it!

Herb Folklore as told by Stanzie and Wyatt

Herbs have acquired some interesting folklore during their centuries of cultivation by humans....

Beloved as a relaxation aid and stress reliever, lavender has also been associated with love and fertility and was often added to wedding cakes for this reason.

Lore says that where parsley thrives, the woman of the household is in charge.

Constanza says, "Right on Sisters" and chop up a sprig of that flat leaf parsley for MY dinner!

Basil also symbolized love and it is said that a young woman who placed a basil plant on her windowsill, was looking for a suitor. "Hey George the Lad....I have Basil...."

Rosemary is associated with friendship, fidelity and love.

An herb also used in weddings.

Rosemary is also believed to increase concentration and memory when working or studying.

"Hey George! I have out my parsley and basil....Just Sayin'"

Viva La Dog Spa

Who needs a bath?

"NOT ME!"

Stanzie says, "NOT ME!"

Viva La Dog Spa asked if we would like to De-Stress, Relax and Rejuvenate.

Stanzie and I said "No Thanks, We're Good", but mom said otherwise.

So, off to see Nancy at the Rock'n A Kennel, to get our summer 'cut and wash', with a new tube of Rescue Me! conditioner in paw.

It's a makeover miracle! No tangles, no weeds, no mud and we smell NICE!

Stanzie is excited. She can get up on the big bed again!

Rescue Me! conditioner made her soft and snuggly.
