It's raining squirrels and penguins!

Nothing but heavy rain, ALL WEEK!
But, we are trying to make the best of it.

I must admit, the weather has dampened my appreciation for the arts.

Even the squirrels are inside keeping their nuts dry!

My Polly Penguin is bummed out by all this rain.

Snow would be good!

Exercise with Wyatt

A little TOO much chow over the holidays

A little TOO much sitting on my furry behind...

and the dog show is coming up in January. I'm going to be manning the Airedale booth!
I have to look my best!

Here we go again!

Okay, fire this thing up!  Let's get some buns of steel!

We also have to get in training for Idita-Walk 2012.
Check it out and join me.
You have to get your peeps to walk with you for 1049 minutes from Feb 1st through March 31st.
It works out to 35 walks for 30 minutes each (any combination will do, just reach 1049 minutes in 60 days.)

Last year we joined Bunny and her pack. It was a great incentive to get out and get moving!

Won't you come 'Walking with Wyatt' and 'Strolling with Stanzie'?

Happy Trails!

Christmas Rocked!

What do you know?!?!
Santa overlooked our indiscretions (like the bath mat we ripped up last week, in a terrier tug-of-war) and brought us presents anyway!
Stanzie reads the tag first, to make sure it's
 her package!
Toys and Apple Pie Biscuits.....Mmmmm

Now, MY TURN!

Wow!

Dog Shampoo? Santa thinks I'm a dirty dog.....

The penguin is my favorite!

Play with ME!

I helped open all the packages. I'm unstoppable now!

Then Mom and Dad went over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house....without Stanzie and Me....

and played with CATS!

.....back over the river and through some more woods to another Grandmother's house they go...

More Neighbors = More Food and Presents!!

I'm really getting into this neighbor gift exchange!!
Tonight we sat down in the living room and ate cheese and crackers and cookies and opened gifts!
Stanzie and I are not even supposed to be in this room, but the rules get thrown out for the holidays!

Dad got this nifty mechanical insect. My dad likes bugs....I like to eat bugs! (But not this bug)

Something special fur my mum in this little box. I got to help with the ribbon removal.

Lots of peep treats and a bag of treats for Stanzie and Me!

I licked the cheese.....hope nobody saw me :D

Thanks Dale and Susan...YUM YUM YUM!

Snooping under the trees!

Today we went down to the river...Yippee!

It has actually been one of the driest Decembers on record and the river is pretty low.

Stanzie and I, always the terriers, looked for critters under all the trees.

I think I see something, Wyatt!!

Whee, let's go Wyatt!
(10 year old Aire-girl, always ready for action)

Then, we came home and did a little snooping under another tree....
There must be something under here with our names on it.

Good news! The neighbors came over and brought pressies we can open tonight!!

oh dog...a gift basket!

Ropes and Chews...YAY!

Thanks Arnie and Sandy :D

Winter Walkies

Sometimes when the weather is wet, I have to drag my peeps out for a walk.
A jog around this track will do you some good, Mother!

The leaves are gone, but there is always something interesting to see outside, like peeling bark.

Stanzie likes the Rose Hips

Mossy branches

and Berries.

Happy Walkies
