Holiday decor with Wyatt !!

Do you need some winter cheer without spending a lot of $$$ ??

Here is an idea!

Prune some limbs and branches around your yard.

We cut some evergreens and a few Barberry branches.

Anything with color will do! Conifer cones, bark, moss...it's all good!

Take an old hanging basket from summer...

...and just start stuffing branches in there!

We added a few pieces of ribbon for extra color.

If you don't have a hanging basket, then any basket will do.

"Mom, I need one more pine cone!"

I wonder if Martha Stewart needs a furry helper?

operation 'Occupy Couch'

Pip has asked for all the dogs and cats to 'Occupy the Couch'

His peeps have left him couchless, while they wait to purchase a new couch.

In a show of solidarity for Mr. Pip, every dog and cat must 'Occupy the Couch' until Pip and all the dogs and cats get the couch that they so richly deserve!!

We have a couch, but we are not allowed in the living room :(

Sometimes, we sneak down there to look at stuff and try out the couch.

This is for you Pip!! We risk being put on Santa's naughty list just for you!

Hey, we could get used to this. Where is the remote for the Teevee?

We better not push our luck...Santa sees all!

I have to lick the stamps and envelopes on my Christmas cards.

I have to deck the halls with boughs of cedar.

Help dad put new bulbs in 'Ottos Christmas Star'.

Add my personal touch to the tree.

Hang up my stocking.

and the most important...make sure I'm all square with Santa!

'Love' in the mail for Stanzie!

Just when Stanzie thought her birthday was over......

What's this!! A package from across the pond, from her beau George the Lad!

Ooooo..... pretty paper and tags with her name on it. A tag from George's sister 'Tess' too.

A recipe book and a tug toy! Mmmmm, the recipes sound so good....Scones, dumplings and cakes!

But, Stanzie is most fascinated by the little pink box inside.

She gently removes the lid.

Then smells the pink box, then she starts licking the pink box......C'mon Stanzie, just show us what is in the pink box already!

Awwww, it's her first piece of jewelry from a boyfriend.

I think she likes it Very, VERY much, George.

She loved the George fuzz in the box too. Next time, she will be looking for a bigger box with the whole George inside :D

Bear hunting with the 'Birthday Girl', part 2

In our last post, we took Stanzie to Dodge Park, where she looked really hard for a bear.

Silly Airedale sister...

We did not see a bear, BUT we did see a

CAMEL !!

We saw him on the drive home, just a few miles from our house. Not a real common site in our area...BOL. Mom saw him the other day grazing in his pasture, so he is not always in this little pen.  (Maybe he is going to be part of a Christmas show ???)

Then, we came home and played like BEARS......Grrrrrr.

Mom put out some straw, because she would like our bear paws to be clean...heehee.

So, Happy Birthday Constanza Marie!! You are 10 years old today!

Hope you like your stuffie BEAR.

Sorry you didn't see a bear, but we bet you are the only Airedale in Oregon that saw a Camel this week!

Stanzie looks for bears for her birthday!

 Stanzie's Birthday is coming up this weekend!

We asked her what she wanted to do.

Have a party?...No

Wear a hat?...NO!

Eat cake?....Maybe later

Look for bears?....Now you're talking!

So, off we went to Dodge Park, to hike in the rain (and look for bears).

Stanzie asks, "Do bears swim?"

Wyatt asks, "Do bears use the trail?"

Do bears live in here?

I think I see a bear!
