Thankful

We often dream of being able to celebrate Thanksgiving outside! I'm not sure where this first picture was taken, but it was not in Oregon! But, we are thankful for the rain, because it keeps everything so green and we are thankful we live here!

 

 

We are thankful for our family tree that continues to grow from solid roots.

This school project was made by Grandpa Ehlbeck, 103 years ago!

We are thankful for a family that never throws anything away!

 

We are thankful for lap dogs and smiling dogs.

 

 

 

...and SUPER thankful that we don't have to hunt for our turkey!

We are thankful that Christmas cookies will be baked.

 

We are thankful for all of you!!

Foliage Friday!

The Lipstick houseplant is in full bloom.

There are still a few trees with colorful leaves in our yard, like the Parrotia persica and the Acer p. 'Moonfire'.

We see pretty things on our walks.

 

Like these California Poppies, still blooming along the golf course trail.

 

 

Back home, dad started playing Christmas music...BOL, so we helped mom gather some foliage to make a garden wreath.

 

We gathered the fir and ivy from the yard and bought a few succulents at Home Depot.

It may not last until Christmas, but that's okay....we can just make another one!

I love to shop.

I pull the hardest on the leash, when I see a store!

I also like to shop the catalogs and flyers.

I sniff all the perfume samples....weird, huh.

Today, I fancy Gucci 'Guilty'.

 

Hey lady, stop looking at your phone and pet me.

 

I little more to the left, please.

Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug

 

 

One of the items that we are reviewing this month for Chewy.com:

The Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug Dog Toy

Unscrew the bottom, fill with kibble or small treats and let the fun begin!

 

If you tip it up like this or pull it around by the rope or twirl it with a paw......guess what happens?

TREATS COME OUT!!

PAWTASTIC!!

If that doesn't make your tail wag, then I don't know what will!!

It was all going great, until some little sister growled at me and stole my 'Tug-A-Jug'.

 

That's just not right. I had it first.

I can see that I'm not going to get it back anytime soon.

I will ask Santa to bring me another one.

 

How many sleeps until Christmas?

Busy Buddy Tug-A-Jug Dog Toy at Chewy.com!!

 

Mom really likes this toy because it is easy to fill and easy to clean.

Tegan and I really like it because the treats come out easily and we don't have to think too hard about it. (Sometimes you just want a treat, without having to be a "Caneinstein")

More Treats = More Walks!

We have officially begun the season of treats!

It starts with the Halloween candy....Mom says, "Thank You, Thank You"  to Chewy.com for the gummy worms. Those lasted about 5 minutes...BOL!

 

But, now she feels her jeans cutting off her circulation.

So, we must WALK.

 

Up to Powell Butte we go, to loop around the nature trails and view everything east of Portland.

 

It smells divine up here!

 

 

But then, the folks went here and got a whole pumpkin-ginger-cheesecake.....

 

Time to hit the trails......BOL

Gotta keep the folks in the same size jeans.

 

 

 

Cuz, you know what is next!

...and we all want some of that!
