Tucking in the Banana

Let me see, Let ME SEE!!

Our first banana harvest, here is Oregon City!

Okay...so they aren't very big and they aren't ripe...but, did we mention Oregon City..BOL

Thank you Banana Tree...you gave it your all this year!

We are going to make you a nice blanket of leaves for the winter.

Sleep well, Banana Tree...Nitey night.

  1. Mom says she has had to buy green ones like that at the store and eventually they WILL ripen. Maybe because they are tiny, they will be tastier:)

  7. Does it work like berries, where the small one grown slower in the cooler climates have concentrated flavours? Or do the bananas just end up green and unripe? Well done anyway, we wouldn't have thought it possible.

  14. Keep warm banana tree - hey did you know banana trees can move all by themselves - back home in australia they plant them in all nice straight lines but within a few years lines are all higgly wiggly.
