For the last 4 years, Mom and Dad have been sneaking away from work, on a Tuesday in July.
Don't tell any of their clients, but they head out to the Cracked Pots art show at McMenamins Edgefield.
They spend the day wandering the beautiful gardens and
admiring art, made from items that were headed for the dump.
(They also drink McMenamin's beer and buy things.)
An old tricycle pulling a planter box on an old skateboard.
They really liked this artist's work.
Steampunk at it's best.
Here is what they brought home....
Dragonflies made from silverware and a crescent wrench!
We like Dragonflies, they symbolize:
Change and Transformation
Adaptability
Joy
Metal work from heavy equipment.
The Yellow metal is from a Caterpillar, the Red is from a Massey Ferguson and the Green is from a John Deere.
(It's my Dad's thing)
My folks ARE cracked pots!
Wyatt
