So, I have really been getting into this pool!

I like to lay down and wiggle around.

Then take big gulps of water.

 

So far, I cannot get my sister Stanzie in here.

The Potting Bench and a Finished Condo!

Mom finally got her potting bench!

A place to arrange flowers and pot stuff.

Maybe, I can store my toys on the bottom shelf.

And the conclusion of our other projects.....

11 ceramic planters (all over 100 lbs.)

3 cedar planters 6' x 30"

2 fountains

1 bird bath

6 trees

shrubs, perennials and vines

35 bags of potting soil, 2 cubic ft. each

9 trellises

hoses and tools

All up an elevator and over white carpet!!

Here's dad, happy to have a 10' Magnolia in an 8' elevator...heehee.

Notice, no Airedales on the scene...no wonder things are going so smoothly!

The goal was to improve the view, reduce the noise and help market these 2 remaining condos!

Hope it works :)

Next project...landscape the steep rock cliff, behind this building.

Note to self...invest in safety harnesses.

Roses and Pizza

 We go for lots of walks around the local community college. 

There is always something to see and smell!

We stop to look at the flowers.

We stop to smell the Roses.

We stop to look under the rocks.

Wait...what is this?

An outdoor Pizza Oven!

Building planters with Wyatt

Help!! I'm in jail...

"Hee Hee, I'm really helping my Dad with these planters."

 

"Dad, bring that drill over here. We need another c-clamp on this trellis."

Mom says:

So now, we have to haul these downtown and shove them into an elevator. Then, hand truck them over white carpeting and out onto a condo balcony!!

No problem...

Wyatt says, "I'd like to help with that too!"

Maybe, if I just sit in here, nobody will see me.

Then I can ride along for the installation!

"How To..." with Wyatt

Perhaps you have seen these fountains, made with ceramic pots.

Then, you say to yourself,  "I would like to have one of those!"

It's so easy, even an Airedale can do it!!

I'm going to show you how!

First you need a basin or reservoir to hold the water and catch the overflow.

They come in all sizes. Plastic ones are $100 and up. They also come in galvanized for really heavy drilled rocks.

 

Then, you need a ceramic planter or some type of artsy vessel.

We are using this 36" tall x 16" wide planter.

Mom applied one coat of Henry's #107 Asphalt Emulsion (from Home Depot, about $10), to the inside of the planter.

Mostly to make the inside black. It looks better when full of water and helps to disguise the works inside.

Dad is drilling a hole in the bottom, that can accept 1/2" PVC fittings.

We are using a 450 gallons per hour pump ($80.)

Look Stanzie! One for me and one for you!!

(Ha ha, actually these are going on a condo balcony in the city.)

Anyway, there you have it....the pump goes in the black box, flexible 1/2" tubing and fittings up through the bottom of the pot and some 1/2" PVC painted black up to the top.

Just add water and plug it in!
