My 1 year blogoversary!

It all started one year ago today.
Mom broke her foot and had to wear this crazy boot for 6 weeks.
Looking for something to do,
we blogged about my helpfulness in the garden.
Always ready to lend a paw.

We blogged about my rickety little agility course, that I helped mom build.
It was tricky for her to run with me, with that crazy boot on, so sometimes Dad would run me around and take me to classes too!
We blogged about all the nifty stuff I have found and dug up on our property.
(With Stanzie's help)
We are still trying to figure out what kind of people lived here before us....alien, headless doll, blue poodle, St. Francis...
...and that was just the first week!  We have posted 235 times and we still have so much to bark about and so many pictures to take.

We cherish all of our wonderful new friends, from around the globe!
Your Pals,
Wyatt and Stanzie

A Pup-Date on Cooper.

Cooper says,
Thank you all for the Paw'r Prayers...
I am on my second day after surgery. Things are beginning to return to reality.
Unfortunately, I'll be on restricted activities for the next two weeks.
Stitches (staples) come out then and the dratted cone comes off.

As would be expected, I am hobbling, but using the leg as much as I can.
The procedure I underwent is called "Excision Arthoplasty". In our terms, they cut the ball off my hip bone, so I no longer have a joint there. They had to do this because of a bone deterioration problem associated with the break and the previous surgery.

After the staples are removed, Dad and I will be going for a lot of walks, helping to strengthen my hip muscles and legs, for our planned summer adventures of hiking in the Steens Mountains. We need to be up to 10 miles by July!

Luv,
Cooper

Wyatt says, Get well soon Cooper. We have a lot of lost time to make up fur! Maybe we can go swimming, Yay!

More from the dog show...

First....to answer your questions from the last post.
Yes, that second to last picture was an Otter hound.
Us Airedales, have a little Otter hound in us.
Mom says, that is why I like to swim in the pond everyday.
(I'm lookin fur otters)
You know that song..."Thank God I'm a Country Boy"?

So glad that this is not the style fur me!
I think my neighbor dogs would beat me up!

Some of Khyra's Relatives..
The dark colored one was 'Wooing' up a storm. He must be related to Phantom, Thunder and Ciara!

Some of Bunny's clan...

Who's your daddy?

One of Hoke's relatives...

This handler, won 'Best in Show' with a Scottie, last year.
I bet this pretty Scottie, is related to many of my furiends!

OMD, it's ruff being beautiful!

Cheetos fur all!!

We have been having so much fun with Grandma.
She likes to eat all the good stuff...
and sometimes she shares when nobody is looking :)
Grandma is like the non-stop Energizer Bunny.
How does she do it, you ask?
A diet of Cheetos and Ramen!
Puddles, have you been hanging out with my Grandma?
Today, we take Grandma to the library and the book store.
Stanzie thinks that squirrels are living in that chute.
What do you mean..no Airedales allowed?
We will just wait here.
"Grandma, see if they have any books on training people."

My BFF needs some P.O.P.

This is my Neighborhood BFF, Cooper.
This is what he looked like 4 years ago, the day he came to his forever home with Russ and Carol.
Cooper on the right and his litter mate, Leroy on the left.

Here is a picture of baby me and Cooper.
Helllllp!

Cooper could use a little 'Power of the Paw' right now.
Last year, he fell on a slippery rock, when he was hiking with his Dad and broke his hip.
Cooper had major surgery and had a pin put in his leg.
He had to spend several months being calm and quiet.
Unfortunately the surgery was not successful.
So this week, Cooper will be traveling down to Eugene Oregon, to see a specialist, who will be doing a full hip replacement.

I just love my big doodle friend and I want him to get all better, so we can play like the old days.
Even go for nice walks together around the hood.
I'm saying my Aire-Prayers for you pal.
Get well soon.
Love,
Wyatt
