Today we went to a local wholesale nursery to pick up some plants.
This nursery has a colorful sales staff!
While shopping the plant aisles, we were greeted by a Peacock at every turn.
They are friendly and seem to know a lot about plants.
Like which plants taste good!
Stanzie really wanted to eat them, she had to stay in the truck.
I got to get out for a little visit with some of the baby peacocks.
They were actually following me around. I think they had never seen a dog and liked my peacock blue harness!
Here are some of the speckled young ones.
More pretty inspiration at a local garden center.
It's still too cold here....48 degrees.
But, it is fun to look and dream of warmer days ahead!
Wishing you all, a colorful day!
Wyatt
That might be the coolest sales staff I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful peacocks - gorgeous flowers! And love that header of yours, Wyatt! We never saw any baby peacocks they are adorable! Love the spots!
ReplyDeleteHugs xoxoxo
Sammie, Avalon and Ozzie
Oh my, that is extraordinary...with such colourful sales staff. Don't they blend well with the plants and flowers?
ReplyDeleteWe're with Stanzie, they look like fun to chase.....and slow.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
You did what Moma kept talking of doing today. With us. Minus the peacocks. It looks like it was a great (and promising) time. We ended up staying home (and talked Moma into helping us catch up on our blogfriends.)
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to snow ... it's all melted now. Each time that happens the grass is greener when it shows its blades again, but it's still too chilly to plant. And Moma is having a hard time waiting!!!!
We'll do you like ... enjoy color in pictures. And imagination. Soon it will be a reality!
Much love. Many tail wags
Jake and Fergi
More places should have staff that colorful! I miss my excursions to nurseries and garden centers!
ReplyDeleteMy my Wyatt those look like some very colorful chickens! The plants look beautiful! With all our warm weather we are getting lots of pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
The CheeseHounds
I'm surprised the peacocks didn't get upset when you came around. I've never had any luck being around peacocks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful, colorful post!!

I'm not sure if Barbie would try to eat the peacocks but I think Bender would!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a neat store!
ReplyDeleteIt is rainy and cold here - so thanks for the shot of color!
What a grrrrrreat place to go. Plants and peacocks.. I think that would make fur a super adventure.
ReplyDeleteWyatt your blogs are always so beautiful. I admire your restraint. I would have been barking my brains out at those birds. Love the pictures: especially the one from behind your head
ReplyDeleteSo strange, I have never thought about it but I grew up with wild peacock all around me but never had seen a baby peacock... Strange! They must keep their young away until they feel it's safe... Stranger fact, my neighbor was attacked by a wild peacock and had to have his leg stapled back together... He was an odd guy... Maybe the bird sensed it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I'd do if I got to meet a peacock, but I think it'd be pretty darned exciting! What a day! Mom is still dreaming of being able to plant here, too, but it's going to be mighty brisk this weekend.
ReplyDeleteBunny
Hmm...geese scare me so I don't know how I'd feel about peacocks...
ReplyDeleteAnyway--you do need an antler! They are much cleaner than bones and last longer! It's the only thing that lasts more than a few weeks at our house.
Bet our mom wood love tu b greeted by salez staff like thoze.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, mom sez the weather guy on that talkin'box thingy sed the bad weather iz all gone fer now . it haz moved on. Thank u fer your comment.

OH woow! What beautiful Peacocks they are! Hoomie Melissa loves the tail feathers on the males. They're stunning. I hope they were very nice & welcoming to you, Wyatt.

ReplyDeletepawhugs, Max

ReplyDeleteHope dos purrty colorful flowers stay warm.
Ha haaa… :o) First I thought that they were fake Peacocks. That is a Pawsome outing you had and all the beautiful pictures you shared are soooo cool! Love the color of your harness. I probably would have done the same thing to the “staff” as Stanzie ;o)
ReplyDeleteSmooches,
Neeko :o)
P.S. Pawsome Thanks for your kind words about my Sis’ passing.
Wow, how lucky for you to get up close and personal with the peacocks. We have never seen one even from a distance. Beautiful flowers - still too cold here too. We had some warm weather but it is back down in the 40s today. Hope we all see sun and warmer temps soon.
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
We've got only 1 question. Did you get a peacock feather as a souvenier?
ReplyDeleteOh, those birdies are SO pretty! But mom says that when they're in the mood to...um...make baby peacocks, they're the loudest screechers you ever heard. She said that once they stayed in a bed and breakfast that had peacocks and they had to go buy earplugs so they could sleep! (Uh, so my mom and dad could sleep...not the peacocks.)
ReplyDeleteWiggles & Wags,
mayzie
The Peacocks look beautifull so do the flowers.
ReplyDeleteWyatt

ASTA
you are one lucky dog to be able to get out there with those peacocks...I would have chased them round and round!
ReplyDeleteOh, my - those are some beautiful peacocks and amazing flowers. This will make Mom have the urge to go buy some flowers. But then she'll remember that she's got to plant them and water them and the urge will go away. We'll just come to your place to see some pretty flowers. BTW, LOVE your color. Mom thinks it would make an awesome bracelet, too :)
ReplyDeleteThe Road Dogs
Those peacocks look fun to follow around! There were lots of pretty ideas in the nursery too. We're hoping it warms up here real soon!
ReplyDeletePeacocks are gorgeous! Your pictures make me SO excited for spring. It is hovering around freezing where we are...again...but the stores are starting to set up their garden centres. Spring is just around the corner, I'm sure! Thanks for the lovely pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place to shop! I've always wanted some peafowl but they would NOT make the neighbors happy. They are very loud and, unlike chickens, they don't like to do indoors at night.
ReplyDeleteHow neat to have a peacock that's an expert at gardening. Mom says we need to have one around here!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots
Maggie and Mitch
How cool that they get to live there!

Wyatt, what a fun day at the garden shop. That peacock is exquisite. What a fun day having little peacocks follow you around. I must say I quite like your collar.
ReplyDeleteWill we get to see your Easter eggs?
I always love your photos, Wyatt. You make all those flowers look good! ;) Happy weekend to you and your family!
