Weedin' with Wyatt

Who planted all these weeds? 

With all our rain, we have a jungle of weeds!

Wyatt to the rescue! 

First, you haul the tarp over to the area to be weeded.

Then, you get your crew to pull the weeds and put them on the tarp.

Dump the full tarp on the compost pile.

Bring the tarp over to the next patch to be weeded and repeat.

About 5 more days of this and we should have this place whipped into shape!

The download on summer

We have been waiting and waiting and waiting......for our summer to download!

It arrived today in a white box!

And summer is red, blue and purple!

And delicious!

Grandma has green grass!

You might recall, that I have been helping my 'Christmas Tree' Grandma with her new landscape.

Here was the backyard....

Backyard with grass!!

Well the sprinklers are in and the grass seed just sprouted!

Follow me and I will show you around.

Here is the fishy fountain that we put in. 

Grandma calls him "Nemo".

Here's the gas fire pit, where we are going to roast hot dogs and s'mores.

I like ketchup and whole wheat buns for my hot dog, Grandma.

I didn't have anything to do with this hot tub. But this is where the people sit, when they are tired of farming.

I picked these pots out for Grandma!

Here's were the downspout water goes...

Remember me picking out this tree last fall...

It now has a happy home, next to Grandma's driveway.

(This Poodle needs it's first haircut!)

We will tour again, when the plants fill in and bloom. 

Now, how about that hot dog!!!

Oliver at Starbucks

It's not everyday that you meet a pig at Starbucks!

This is 8 month old 'Oliver'.

He's a therapy pig in training. He will get to be about 20 pounds, is potty trained and can do tricks for Cheerios.

I can do tricks for Cheerios....just sayin'

A Saturday with Wyatt and Stanzie

It started with a big Dutch Baby Pancake.  Stanzie and I got a little bite!

So far, we are liking this day :)

A quick stop at Home Depot.

A walk around the college to look at flowers.

What is this? We know our perennials, but this one has us stumped.

Anyway, we like it!

Wild about Variegated Maples!

Next, we stopped at a new Christmas store in town.

They have a stuffed Airedale in there and an Airedale Christmas ornament!

But, real Airedales can't go in there!

We need to speak with the manager....Stanzie and I are important figures in this town!

And we have a credit card...just sayin'

Spinach and Taters

What can we harvest for dinner?

I wonder if any of these taters are ready to dig? Let's dig some up and see.

Stanzie likes taters, she says "Get to digging, Wyatt!"

Okay, we are having spinach salad, roasted taters and strawberries on pound cake.

And a couple of pretty flowers for the table.

Can we have dessert first?

Road Show part 2

Finally, we finished our project, so now we can PLAY!!

Stanzie and I take an evening stroll down the beach.

Wheeeeee, let's get this weekend started!

I take my crew down to the U street Pub.

We all order the fish and chips.

Hey, there is a baby inside and she is kissing me through the window!

I lick the window and give her kisses back.

I actually tried to run inside the pub so I could see her, but I was stopped at the door.

What's up with that? I just wanted to kiss the baby.
