Green Paws Indoors!

With the freezing temps, our green paws have moved indoors this week.
We started some Paperwhite bulbs and an Amaryllis bulb.

It's going to be a red-white combo flower...Can't wait to see!
This is just ONE week "Out of the Box"!

We gathered up some interesting leaves off the ground,
for some leaf pressing.

I'm going to use this dictionary...I don't need it anyway,
cuz I r a gud spellir.

You just put the leaf between papers and close the book!
Change the paper every few days...don't use your favorite book, because the pages might get some moisture on them.

Happy Indoor Gardening!

Wyatt

  1. Lady says she hasn't pressed leaves for years. She wished she had thought of it sooner, but the snow is falling here and the best leaves are long gone. Have a great day. Lee and Phod

  2. We see our Christmas cacti getting ready to bloom, but the orchids have decided to take a rest. Mom says she will have to hunt for some leaves tomorrow so the grandbipeds can do some leaf pressing too.

  5. They'll make great decorations for your Thanksgiving table. SHE's switched to an e-reader, might make pressing anything difficult. BOL!

  22. Our Amarayllis looks not so good as yours, its more a small thingy here :o) Guess that we found a pressed leaf in a book that was nearly prehistoric. My mom made it as she was in elementary school and it was as good as new...probably a magic leaf...
