Stanzie told me to go check on the fish in the pond.
It has not been above freezing for over a week.
"Here I come fish!"
"OH NO!", "Where are the fish?"
"I can't see them!?!?"
"Hey fish, I brought you some kibble in my Wobbly Kong."
"Are you hungry?"
I hope they are just taking a nap and are not frozen seafood. :(
Wyatt
(the pond is frozen solid, no dogs or people were in danger for these photos)
Hey Wyatt!
ReplyDeleteWow, some seafood kibble sounds pretty good right now! BOL I'm sure they'll be back and in-the-swim of things in the Spring.
BTW: I'd be thrilled for you to coordinate the foodables for the New Year's Eve bash! Thanks so much for hosting this part!
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Pol Comm
Fish are amazing - they have something n their blood that lets them survive being frozen.......either that or you can fish sticks for dinner !
ReplyDeletewow, that looks very cold, good think you have such a nice fur coat Wyatt :)
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you were safe going on the ice. Our lake is not frozen solid and even when it is our Lady won't let us go on it. She is mean. We hope your fish are sleeping for the witnter. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteThat looks like FUN... to be able to WALK on the FISH that way. We are SURE they are OKAY under the Ice...
ReplyDeleteWe hope no fish were harmed either....

Aroo there Wyatt and Stanzie, I rec'd y'alls Christmas card in the mail yesterday and wanted to pop over and tell ya thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Hopefully it will warm up soon and the fish can get to the snacks you left for them!
ReplyDeleteWe hope the fishies are OK. We have a house in our neighborhood where they have a pond in their landscape bed and it is filled with goldfish. Somehow they manage to survive under the ice in the cold winter we have her - amazing.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning

Maybe they are under the ice.
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy and Stanley
I bet those poor fishies are wishing for summer! They are probably ok...cold...but hibernating.
ReplyDeleteWow! It must be REALLY cold where you are!
ReplyDeleteThe pond near our house is frozen too and I also wonder about what happens to the fish when it's super cold and freezing out.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, if the pond is frozen solid, one fears that frozen pondfood might be the most accurate description, and that Wyatt's trip was a wasted one.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie (from an unseasonably warm Aberdeen).
Oh poor fishies. It might be fish fingers for supper Wyatt. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Our pond is frozen too, no fish in it though!

Shall I send some scarves for your fishies? But it needs a while, mom has to knit the sweater first she promised my grampy 30 years ago :o)
ReplyDeleteYou are so nice to share your kibble with your fish. I bet they are resting on the bottom of your pond praying for warm weather.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of frozen fish mama better hurry up and pack up the salmon and halibut to ship out to family for the holidays!
Wyatt good to know when you cannot garden you can explore your grounds looking for squirrels and such.
ReplyDeleteHugs Madi your bfff
That was awfully nice to offer sharing your kibble we hope your fishy friends are OK.
ReplyDeleteHi Wyatt, Today is outdoor Wednesday, so it was good to see you outside. What a great friend you are to share your kibble. I'm sure your fishy are just swimming deep in the pond.
ReplyDeleteHave a great night and stay warm.
