The Tortoise and The Airedale

We saw every kind of pet this Saturday, while walking for the SW Washington Humane Society.
Surely we could beat a tortoise across the finish line.....

Terriers are FAST!

Maybe not as fast as these Whippets....

We did a lot of visiting.

We did some swimming.

We did some more visiting with Lexi.
Lexi found her family through the Humane Society. Now, she is living the dream!

...... the tortoise pushed forward.

....And when we got to the finish line, he was already THERE!!

    That tortoise is huge, did y'all get to sniff him. Mom has told me the story of the tortoise and the hare so I guess it's true. Happy Mom's day to y'alls mom.

    Gail says that sometimes I dawdle so much on my morning walk round the park, one day a tortoise might lap me.
    Of course, one has to bear in mind that humans don't understand the importance of sniffing every single tree trunk, to check all is in order.
