Foliage, Flowers and Fungi Friday!

The flowers have faded, but the foliage sure is grand!

Mushrooms are popping up everywhere.

A few Anemone blooms remain.

The sedums will look nice, until the first hard freeze.

...and we unearthed this Hardy Cyclamen that had been buried under nasturtiums all summer.
When did we get that plant? We love surprises!

Happy Fall Foliage Friday!!

  5. We don't have a lot of fall color here yet, but we do have our first hard freeze coming in tonight. Mom got all our summer blooms pulled out earlier this week, so we don't have to worry about covering them. But it would be nice to have some pretty ones like you have there.

Meanwhile Timber has a lot of fun yanking Mom's arm as he tries to chase every leaf that blows by him on our walks.

...wait... you got a cyclamen growing in your outside yard at your latitude at this time of year....??? You must live in magic land!!! UK is similar latitude and cyclamen are notoriously difficult outside plants - mostly indoor or glasshouse, with brief (two months) summer exposure. I had an aunt who could grow them like topsy. Not me. I can grow much, but there are a handful of plants who wither in my very presence, it seems. Cyclamen are one of those; african violets, gardenias - fuscias, though; am very good with fuscias... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
