Summer Bugs Me!

This is a pin on Dad's ski hat.
Actually I like summer. It is Mosquitos that SUCK!
We got out our arsenal of mosquito repellents today.
Yep...it's all here. Dunks for the pond, citronella candle, sprays, lotions and salves.
Bring it on, you bitey bugs...we are ready for you.
We'll be dining outside tonight and you can't stop us!!
The other thing that bugs me, is that darn squirrel on the other side of the fence.
Come over here and say that!
...and these innocent looking yellow weeds, that stick to my fur.
Here's some happy news. The wild blackberries are getting ripe!
Stanzies favorite!
and a Sea of Susans..
Keep those recipes coming! We are having so much fun trying out all your favorites. Remember the prize is an Amazon Gift Card!! Send recipes to:

Happy Digging!

  5. We hope you've got Heartworm prevention in that Mosquito protection mix.

We've never seen a squirrel, but we're sure we'd like to chase them, too.

  6. We have a family of squirrels that love to tease us they run back in forth all day long on the fence.
We hate Mosquitos that are horrible creatures!

  7. One of the few good things about dirtville is the lack of bugs. I don't know if that makes up for the lack of everything else!

  9. Wow, look at those blackberries - big and we bet they are juicy and sweet.

We don't have too much trouble with mosquitoes here but those gnats at night are so annoying. And the noisy cicadas too.

  11. I agree with your dad - I prefer winter! I'm not sure if Murphy has a favorite season but he definitely likes playing in the snow.

  14. Wyatt, I love visiting your garden. Where we live is very very dry so we don't plant much stuff in our garden. We mostly have rocks and mulch.

  16. Mmmm Blackberries are Mom and Dads favorite right now, especially paired with peaches. We've been eating them for weeks now.

Good luck keeping those skeers away...they do suck!
