My friend Mr. Pip, is trying to sell his house in Chi Town.
Here are a few helpful Wyatt tips, that will bring those buyers running and have them signing on the dotted line in no time!!
Right before perspective buyers are coming over for a look see, bake something yummy in the oven, like bread, cookies or something cinnamony!
People are emotional creatures and nothing says "Welcome Home" like the smell of baked goods.
(My Mom and Dad bought their first house, cuz the owner was baking bread!)
Put out a bouquet or two of fresh flowers.
A little staging never hurts...
(Mom and Dad bought their second house because it was staged so nicely...fresh flowers, baskets of fresh produce from the garden, music softly playing and a bottle of wine and glasses up by the bath tub!)
and finally...
Hang a cute picture of Mr. Pip on the wall!
You will have that house sold in no time!!
Cheers!
Wyatt
(Today's lesson...My Mom and Dad are suckers...BOL)

ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words of welcome for my new brother, YoYo. He is getting to know his way around by himself and Uncle Adam put in a ramp on the deck especially for him...but we all think it is pretty cool.
OK, hang picture on wall, drink bottle of wine and eat cookies ...I am taking notes! Keep the advice coming. We actually did bake cookies before a showing last Sunday. The people really liked the place (must have been the cookies), but turns out they are trying to sell a place, too! Too bad, we can't swap!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Mama and I are so overwhelmed and touched by all your wonderful wishes and posts!
Your pal, Pip

ReplyDeleteBOL, those tips are way too excellent!
Very good advice! I also enjoyed your cheeky lesson of the day - it made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI've sold 6 houses in the past, and staging is crucial! Especially in a bad housing market. I baked cookies at the last house we sold in Colorado and they bought the house! I also packed up a LOT and stored it away in the garage. No clutter, limited "stuff" around.
ReplyDeleteWyatt you are the smartest dog-cookies, flowers and your smiling face will always bring joy.
ReplyDeleteHi Wyatt! Sam here from You have great ideas! Have you thought have becoming a professional stager?
