It has always fascinated us, how plants will throw out a bloom in the middle of winter.
Several days of 60ish weather and an otherwise leafless rosebush says, "Game On!"
In other news around the yard....
Panda Pull Toy found his way back home.
He needs a bath, but is in good shape...Oh Happy Day!
On the other paw....
Poor Polly Penguin is not fairing too well.
She is still in one piece, but threatening to run away from home!
Wyatt

ReplyDeleteBOL oh that Panda pull toy has seen better days

We love looking at our roses in the winter time. They seem to like a colder day now and then.
ReplyDeleteGlad Mr. Panda came back home. I'm sure he was missed a lot!
If I was that Penguin I'd be packin' my bags right now!!!

Your rose blooms are beautiful, Wyatt. We also have some blooming red ones........a nice surprise in the middle of all the dreary plants hibernating for winter.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that Polly wants to hide where that Panda was!!! Send some of those flowers this way...I keep watering but got nothing!!!
ReplyDeleteAt least Polly hasn't been buried yet.......
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are beautiful, maybe they don't know about seasons.

Hmmm... I wonder why Panda decided to go out there... Mom says the day Lilac passed away our miniature rosebush put out a single bloom that lasted almost until Christmas. Another one burst into full bloom and they were blooming until just a few days before Christmas. It was crazy, but nice to see that bright pink every day!
ReplyDeleteBe nice to Polly Penguin...she will do you no good if you de-stuff her!
ReplyDeletehugs and bellyrubs
We had oranges growing on our tree, but they froze!
ReplyDeleteBOL! You guys look like your having fun!!

So glad you found Panda - I was sure he would be out there somewhere. We have roses out here too - on bushes with no leaves! But it has been pretty warm here for winter. They are very pretty - love from Magic
ReplyDeleteWith the warm weather we are having we are thinking we might see tulips soon.
ReplyDeleteHey, that's what toys are for - fun times, right?

ReplyDeleteYour pal, Pip
Our weather here in KS has been CRAZY, so we're seeing a lot of things growing when it's not the right time.
ReplyDeleteWe have a cool wolf toy a lot like your panda!
Play bows,

Hey Wyatt!
ReplyDeleteWow, that rose is surely pretty and what a great reminder of warm Summer weather! Glad you got your bear toy back, but I agree he needs a bath. Good luck unstuffing your Penguin! Looks like fun to me!

Isn't it great when long-lost toys return home. Always a time for celebration and rowdy play!!! Have fun! Oscar
ReplyDeleteYEAH! Panda is back! I am so very happy for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will gut that Polly Penguin before she gets a chance to run off!
Hey Wyatt! Nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by my new blog thingy!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine having those new flowers around during the winter! That would happen to my person in Colorado, but here in the GST, it never happens during the winter! The weeds do tend to regain some life though!
You guys get white stuff on your lawns in Oregon? What does it feel like? I have never seen that stuff! It looks like it isn't too dangerous, but I am not convinced!
PS - So sorry about Polly Penguin.....(Run, Polly! Run!)
Thanks again, and bark at ya later!
Baylor
It sure is great to have a "partner in crime"! Yes?? We have been having the weirdest weather ever too!!! It's FIFTY out!!! Unheard of here in Upstate NY where we are used to breaking all kinds of snowfall records!! Not this year!!
ReplyDeletexoxo Chloe and LadyBug
I bet Panda Bear is glad to be home, but, from the looks of it, will want to disappear again soon!!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing I love more than spotting a pretty bloom in the middle of winter....
ReplyDeleteThank goodness Panda Bear found his way home! Whew! Love the blooms!
ReplyDeleteRun away? How will he get a chance between you two? Get it? Between you two? What? What are those groans for?
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers, I am always suprised to see flowers blooming in winter too, I see some in the public gardens in NYC
