Your P.O.T.P. did the job!
It's a bird, It's a plane.....
It's SUPER Stanzie!!
Well, it has been a week of fret and worry. When a senior dog develops a giant, bruised, bloody and oozing lump that suddenly appears for no known cause, you can't help but think the worst and prepare yourself for diagnosis 'C'.
But, it was not the outcome today for Constanza Marie.
Cancer has been ruled out.
Her final diagnosis was Toxic Spider Bite.
The swelling has gone down and 2 distinct marks are now apparent. While still scary and very gnarly looking, we can fix this!
So for now, we stay on her meds and antibiotics. The vet said she does not have to wear the "cone of shame" and if she licks the leg (not obsessively), it is okay for now. She is actually doing it some good and draining some of the fluid away.
She continues to enjoy all her meals and is really bummed about missing her walks.
We hope to have her back on the Idita-Walk trail, when we get the "thumbs up" from her vet.
Thank you for all your well wishes, it made US feel better.
Stanzie was never worried :)
The OP Pack diagnosed Stanzie 2 days ago, without even seeing her leg!!
We wonder if they make house calls?
Whew, that's good news, you take good care of her and give her lots of huggies and kissies from Me & Bites
