The wind huffed and puffed and blew a bunch of stuff down.
Trees down, power out...my plastic swimming pool blew into the next county!
Look!
A yard full of sticks.
How wonderful!
The scariest part was no coffee for Mom and Dad.
They boiled water on the gas stove, only to discover nothing but whole bean coffee in the house and an electric grinder.
We can laugh now,
but it WAS scary!
Wyatt
Better invest in one of those hand cranked grinders to avert any future caffeine crises…
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
That would be very scary- no coffee for the peeps! That howling came to our old farm house too, but we did not loose power. I saved some sticks for you!

ReplyDeleteNO COFFEE????? THAT is REASON to be Scared Right there... not to mention the loss of your Pool and all the noise and stuffs... Glad that you are all safe...
ReplyDeleteHope you find your pool... Enjoy the STICKS...
Our dad uses one of those pod thingys that plugs in so he would be out of luck too.
ReplyDeleteNo Coffee that just not right.
ReplyDeleteSorry about your pool being
blown to the land of OZ.
xo Cinnamon
WOW.....lost you swimming pool...that must have been a big blow.........Hey tell Dad red rag with beans and hammer...he has pulled that more then once. Drop in boiling water, pour through strainer.
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
Hey, we think we saw your pool blow through our yard yesterday when it brought all that cold air here too. We'll see if we can snag it if it comes back:)
ReplyDeleteMom would be lost without her tea or coffee. Folger's makes a coffee :bag" .like a teabag.that you could use with some of that boiled water, not great but better than none.
Woos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
Oh no!!! Did they make some tea instead? My humans have a story about the Rochester Ice Storm of 2003, when they went without power for a whole week! Hope you find your swimmy pool!
ReplyDeleteHey Wyatt!
ReplyDeleteWow, I bet that storm was really scary! I think for our peeps having no coffee would be like us having no stuffies. TERRIBLE! Glad things are better now and you did a great job moving that stick. BOL
Grr and Woof,
Sarge, Police Commissioner
Oh I hate storms, I hide under the covers. I hope everything is better now and the peeps got their coffee.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,

Crikey Wyatt ...... drop that stick NOW ..... that's MY STICK ... that wind huffed and puffed it all the way from Australia to you. GIVE IT BACK!!
ReplyDeleteWhat colour was your swimming pool?? A blue one's just landed in my yard.
Being without power is no fun! Are you on stick patrol for the clean-up, Wyatt?
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

We had a bad wind storm a couple weeks ago, and it knocked over the neighbor's tree in the middle of the night. It did some damage to our property, but thankfully did not hit our house. And today, winter arrived....how many days until Spring?
ReplyDeletethat happened in my crib too as we had no power. my smart mom put a mug in the microwave as she saw that the coffee machine was out of order.... yes, she is still waiting that the water boils without electricity lol. I hope you will rescue all that poor sticks in your back yard :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat...no coffee...I would High tail it anywhere to get away from my parents w/out their coffee! Now that is really scary!
