Lost in Translation

Do you ever feel like you and your people are not on the same page?
You are talking to them...but they just don't get it.
You say, "Arrrr rah rrraaa"
Clearly this means, "Hello, my bowl is empty."  "Please fill it up with food."
Then you say, "Arrrr grrrr rraaah roh"
No! Not lamb and rice again!

"Arrrr ROO woof?"
What is that YOU are eating?
Arrr ruff ruff roh!
 Give me that pork chop!
Man, peeps can be so dense....
"CAN YOU HEAR THE WORDS THAT ARE COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?? "
I should buy them one of these gadgets from 1993!
Remember the Bow-Lingual?...heehee

Happy Communications!
Wyatt

  2. I wasn't even born when the Bow Lingual came out! No way would I want Mom to know all of what we're saying all the time, though! Especially Lilac, she'd get us all in trouble!

  3. I find spelling out my message in kibble on the kitchen floor sometimes helps. Have your read The Watchers by Dean Koontz?

    Have a great weekend.

  9. Wyatt I know EXACTLY where you are comin from here Buddy!! I think THEY are really slow in the Communications Dept.. AND they have very selective hearing.. to make matters Worse fur us.
This is an excellent post. It is soooo nice to know we are all in the same DawgHouse.

  10. Oh, gosh. Monty and Sam are so loud and clear in their communications, that Mom is thinking of adding "speaks doggish" to her resume. Maybe she can come over and translate for you.

  11. Yeah, we agree, Wyatt. The humans are always saying they can "read" their dogs so well. Well??? We don't think they ever understand a word we are wooing to them. Hope you got a taste of that pork chop.

  13. I don't think those bowlingual things would translate some of the four letter words Stumpy directs at me, on occasion!

  15. Here's the problemo, Wyatt. Even when they understand you perfectly well, they won't do as you say. How stupid is that?

  19. If only there was a translator for dogs. Hmmm, I think that bowl of yours should be a pretty good visual cue though. And what dog wouldn't say, "Gimme that pork chop!" We must learn to listen better. ;)

  20. You must be very patient when the bowl is empty. Those talking things are nutty

  21. Man Wyatt! I was whining, snuffing and making rumbling noises all through dinner last night. All she kept saying was "No Beg". HELLO if you's SHARE I wouldn't have to beg I told her! *huff*

  22. Bowls are very important, that's for sure. Especially when they are empty. We do have our hu-mans trained to fill the water bowl when we bang it. At least they are semi-trainable......
