Lost in Translation

Do you ever feel like you and your people are not on the same page?
You are talking to them...but they just don't get it.
You say, "Arrrr rah rrraaa"
Clearly this means, "Hello, my bowl is empty."  "Please fill it up with food."
Then you say, "Arrrr grrrr rraaah roh"
No! Not lamb and rice again!
"Arrrr ROO woof?"
What is that YOU are eating?
Arrr ruff ruff roh!
 Give me that pork chop!
Man, peeps can be so dense....
I should buy them one of these gadgets from 1993!
Remember the Bow-Lingual?...heehee

Happy Communications!

  1. We need one of those things. SHE rarely knows what we're telling HER!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella

  2. I wasn't even born when the Bow Lingual came out! No way would I want Mom to know all of what we're saying all the time, though! Especially Lilac, she'd get us all in trouble!

  3. I find spelling out my message in kibble on the kitchen floor sometimes helps. Have your read The Watchers by Dean Koontz?

    Have a great weekend.

White Dog and The White Dog Army

  4. I feel your pain and frustration, Wyatt!
How I wish I could have one of those gadgets now. My mom never understands me. *SIGH*
    ~ Eva

  5. BOL! How cute is that! I remember those!

  6. OMD...pork chops? We hope you both got a nibble. That device looks fun!

    Teddy Bear & Sierra

  7. We definitely need two of those. Mom and dad will hear us loud and clear!

    Love ya lots
    Maggie and Mitch

  8. the challenge to all us dogs - getting those not so smart hoomans to understand - really !! They can be so dense at times

  9. Wyatt I know EXACTLY where you are comin from here Buddy!! I think THEY are really slow in the Communications Dept.. AND they have very selective hearing.. to make matters Worse fur us.
This is an excellent post. It is soooo nice to know we are all in the same DawgHouse.

  10. Oh, gosh. Monty and Sam are so loud and clear in their communications, that Mom is thinking of adding "speaks doggish" to her resume. Maybe she can come over and translate for you.

  11. Yeah, we agree, Wyatt. The humans are always saying they can "read" their dogs so well. Well??? We don't think they ever understand a word we are wooing to them. Hope you got a taste of that pork chop.

Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara

  12. Oh yah, i hear ya Wyatt!! I cant count the many times, that my bowl has been empty they miss a meal??? We NEED to nip this ASAP!!

  13. I don't think those bowlingual things would translate some of the four letter words Stumpy directs at me, on occasion!

    Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!
    Stumpy and me

  14. I sure wish I had one of those gadgets!! Mom never seems to understand what I am trying to say. She always gets everything so wrong! Lots of love, Holly

  15. Here's the problemo, Wyatt. Even when they understand you perfectly well, they won't do as you say. How stupid is that?
    Miro & Alanis (
p.s. Anybody have a fix yet for this problem with comments?

  16. I so wish we could get a translator

  17. dude, wyatt, i totally know what you mean!! sometimes, i just feel like i'm repeatin' myself over 'n over again, but mama 'n daddy just stand there and look at me like i'm crazy go nuts! that bowlingual thingie sounds like a grrreat idea! i had nevarrr heard of it before cuz 1993 was waaaaay before i was born. time to hit ebay! teeheehee.

    the booker man

  18. Wow, does that thing really work?
Actually, I think mom understands me just fine...she is just uncooperative!

  19. If only there was a translator for dogs. Hmmm, I think that bowl of yours should be a pretty good visual cue though. And what dog wouldn't say, "Gimme that pork chop!" We must learn to listen better. ;)

  20. You must be very patient when the bowl is empty. Those talking things are nutty
    Benny & Lily

  21. Man Wyatt! I was whining, snuffing and making rumbling noises all through dinner last night. All she kept saying was "No Beg". HELLO if you's SHARE I wouldn't have to beg I told her! *huff*

  22. Bowls are very important, that's for sure. Especially when they are empty. We do have our hu-mans trained to fill the water bowl when we bang it. At least they are semi-trainable......

  23. "Dog" is a hard language to master, Wyatt. :) That Bowlingual is HILARIOUS!
