Sometimes, I wonder if plants feel happy and proud when they get pruned...
I know I feel happy and proud, when I get groomed.
Something tells me that this Forsythia feels ashamed right now, cuz Dad pruned it a little to much.
It's okay little shrub, it will grow back!
I think this grape vine likes it's new haircut.
It has a good groomer (Mom) haha!
Well, that was about all the deep thoughts I can muster up for today.
Time to eat Strawberries!
Happy Digging!
Wyatt
That grape vine is stylin'! That's very kind of you to try and make the Forsythia feel better, Wyatt. You certainly do deserve a delicious strawberry snack!

Wyatt, you are really a deep thinker!! Now I wonder if the tree outside cared when I cut its branches off of it!! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeleteI bet the plants feel proud standing next to you, Wyatt!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe mom should do all the pruning

Good day. You got groomed then you got the groom the garden.
ReplyDeleteWHEN did your mom trim your Grape Vines??? My mom does ours just as the leaves start to fall in autumn. I have baby grapes on mine. DO YOU???
ReplyDeleteBetter get to bed early tonight... and be sure to Gargle and stuffs to keep your voice all set fur your big day in Blogville's Ampitheater!!!
That grape vine looks proud, for sure.
ReplyDeleteBut I am sad, because my strawberries aren't ripe yet.
I am admiring your collar Wyatt. Does that have real stones one it. It looks very good on you. One good reason to stay trimmed up, to show off your collars!
ReplyDeleteSave some of them strawberries for me!!
Enjoy those strawbs!
ReplyDeletePruning too much must be a guy thing. All the dads we know prune until there's not much plant left!
XXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
That grape vine looks GOOD! You are looking pretty spiffy, too! Tell the forsythia bush not to feel bad, Dad overdoes it every year on ours, too!
ReplyDeleteBunny
The Forsythia did get quite the mohawk! He'll be very handsome come next spring!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,

Super cute shots!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Congrats! You have now 200 followers! YaY!!! =))
I think shrubs like to be pruned because they usually grow back looking all fresh and happy.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful grape vine. How old is it?
ReplyDeleteThe slugs are pruning all of our stuff :(
ReplyDeleteI bet they like to be pruned more than I like to be groomed. I like being groomed, just not going thru the process!
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar

ReplyDeleteHey there...you are one mighty good thinker...hurts me to think that much and they don't know what the heck they are doing. You should see our fig tree...looks like someone put hollow sticks all around it cause she said don't cut it and he listened. What a knucklehead!! Have fun eating those strawberries!!
ReplyDeleteI think they are quite happee you are grooming them

Fresh strawberries sound pretty darn tasty! I know everything in your garden is happy just to be part of such a wonderful environment with such wonderful caregivers!
ReplyDeleteYour mama is a great plant groomer! And, you look so cute sitting by the grapevine!! Ihope you enjoyed the strawberries!!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
(Mama's other 'dale, Sadie, used to eat figs right off the fig tree and drag ears of corn in from the field! I prefer to have my meals made for me! hehe)
Mom just pruned a rose bush dat was dying cause we went on va-k-shun. She cried da whole time she was cuttin' it. But now it's all nice and full of leaves again.....so she saved a life!
ReplyDeleteI like your Deep Thoughts Wyatt, BOL and I like your stawberries too!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, my deep thought is that I think there's a reason why my mom keeps the strawberry plants in the front yard and the Airedales in the back.
