Let's go to the Portland Rose Garden!
It's in full bloom.
So much to see and smell.
Today, we thought the apricot colored roses were very nice.
Mom was really smitten with this one, 'White Licorice'
We enjoyed the perennials.
And looked under rocks.....that really ROCKED!
Dad! Look it's a hops vine. Let's go for a beer!!
Wyatt and Stanzie
Looks gorgeous up there. Last time I went to the rose garden, nothing was in bloom due to our funky spring weather this year. Looks like it is time to go again and see some amazing roses!

Whata great walk you had.
We love love love the roses.
Ours all died this year. We think it is because of the three months of flooding that covered them.
So glad you still have them and that you would share pictures of them

ReplyDeleteMore reasons for us to get to Oregon. We aren't allowed in pretty gardens like that here. Those roses were just so gorgeous - loved the apricot ones too.

Those roses are really beautiful! Mom wants to plant a new one in a spot where she took a dead one out. White Licorice is looking like a good choice!

Hi Wyatt, you are so lucky to have such a beautiful garden to visit. Not long ago my mum went to Adelaide Botanical Gardens but no doggies are allowed. I will have to find another garden to visit with her. No worries, and love, Stella
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing more beautiful than a rose garden! What a lovely way to pass a Sunday. Momma is particularly fond of flame colored roses. And yes, a cold beer in a nice outdoor cafe would the perfect ending to your adventure!
ReplyDeleteRoses and beer...what a perfect day! you are lucky that you get to go everywhere!!
ReplyDeleteWow, my mom person is so very jealous of your people's gardening skills. It all looks beautiful!

ReplyDeleteMy mum loves roses, but she refuses to grow them. She says the flowers don't last long enough and then she can get sad!! Thats why she loves her orchids - she will post a photo soon of the vase of them in the house.
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a great day out, did you see anything interesting under that rock??
