Stanzie's favorite thing in the whole world (besides George the Lad and chasing woodland creatures)
is BLACKBERRIES!
Stanzie knows when they have reached the peak of perfection. When they are perfectly ripe and ready to be pulled from the vine.
We have tried to show Stanzie for a week or so now, how many wild blackberries were visible on our walks. But she would have no part of it...they just weren't ready yet.
Today was the day...perfectly ripe. She picks her own, she does not want help.
So, the walk takes about 30 minutes longer. Stanzie has to get full...BOL
Gosh, they're delish!
Happy Picking!
Stanzie I am soooooo green with jellyness... YOU can REACH the Berries. I have to WAIT fur my mom to pick my Ripe Red Raspberries.. and she has been know to be kinda Stingy.
ReplyDeleteI think you have a super technique fur pickin.. just the Ripe Perfect berries.
Hi Wyatt,
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty good thing Stanzie has going. I assume you guys have the black burries growing wild all along your walks. Wow....I wish we had that. All we have is poison ivy and thistle.
Tell her to eat some for me.
Bert
Blackberries!! We love them!!! Yours looks much better than the ones we had last month! Lots of love, Debbie & Holly
ReplyDeleteSmart girl there, Stanzie - now do you end up with a blackberry beard? BOL
ReplyDeleteMom LOVES blackberries too.

We just went blackberry picking yesterday too! It sure is that time of year, blackberries in the cereal in the morning, blackberry cobbler for dessert at night!
ReplyDeleteOh, if we had a walk with berries along it for the picking, I'd be a happy pup! Tell Stanzie to enjoy some for us!
ReplyDeleteBunny

I'm very envious..... I don't have berries on any of my walks! I have found edibles berries in my own garden...and strip the bushes!!!
ReplyDeleteTail Wuggles, Rubie.
PeeS: My mum wants to tell your mom that yes we grow our orchids outside - they are in four plastic pots, but one flowers really well, one flowers sparingly, and the other two just poke their tongues out at mum!! She has tried moving them about - they are in winter sun and we tuck them away in our hot dry summer....under a tree.
Nommy!
ReplyDeleteWow Stanzie you sure are great at that! It is amazin how you don't get a face full of thorns! Well, Mom say you can tell the berries are perfectly ripe cause you gots a GREAT nose!

Hee hee - we love your style Stanzie! We love blackberries too, we passed some on our walk today but the Peeps pick them for us to eat, we must have a go at that 'pick your own' style next time :-) Have a great weekend all, Dex and Lou xxx
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, blackberries! Ours have been long gone. They ripen much earlier here in the hot & humid South, plus the deer eat them all! BOL Hey, does Stanzie get a tummy ache from all those blackberries???
ReplyDeleteThe Road Dogs
Do they make you get a furry red face Stanzie? Looks like you love those berries. No worries, and love, Stella
ReplyDeleteIf I had some of those maybe I wouldn't have to eat dried worms.
ReplyDeleteOH Stanzie you lucky hound. Blackberry season was over about 4 weeks ago. We are very jealous!
ReplyDeleteHello - found you through the blog hop!
ReplyDeleteWow, never seen a dog getting at the blackberries - there are tonnes around here but mine never clock them as something to eat. Eddie used to eat tomatoes off the wine though... Maybe its about them figuring out what is nice.
Oscar loves blueberries and raspberries, but I don't think he's tried blackberries yet. That's a pretty good deal Stanzie's got - eating blackberries to her heart's content!
ReplyDeleteThis is called a food tour and auntie tooki thinks the best way to travel is to travel and eat good food all the way! Yummm...
ReplyDeleteAdorable pictures, and I'm sure they were tasty too! Oh, and I love the tomato photo at the top. Made me giggle!
