Crackedpots and wine on a stick!

What 'better fun', on a rainy Tuesday....take the day off and go to 'Crackedpots' 12th annual art show at Mcmenamins Edgefield.
All the art displayed and for sale must be made out of 80% recycled material.

Look like anybody we know? :)
The perfect Oregon day. 65 degrees and drizzling.

We stop at the outdoor pub and have lunch in the rain, by the fire!
Then do some more looking. Really loved the dog with the cheese grater nose, rain gutter legs, colander hips and cookie press eyes!

Dad loves the silverware bugs.
Metal high heels
toaster becomes dog
bike becomes table

Mom can't resist buying this puppy purse, made from old fabric.

So, we try a little recycling art!!
Washing wine bottles in the pool....

I'm not seeing the artist's vision...
Hmmmmm....We shall call it 'Wine on a Stick'
"Better keep your day job, Mom"...BOL
Wyatt

  6. What a fun place to go see! I loved all the cool artwork! I think we could be happy decorating our whole house from that place.

There's somebody near us who has a wine bottle tree, but they just keep adding random bottles to it and it looks really cool!

  10. That is some cool art! Mama's brother lives in Cali and he sometimes sends us pieces of art from the shops there, that people have made from recycled things. We love that!

Wyatt, you should be more encouraging with regard to your mom's artistic escapades (or you'll find yourself in the dog house with no treats!)

  33. My granny decorated her "veranda" (small patio) at her assisted living home with blue wine bottles. One man's treasure is another man's junk... or is it the other way around?

I'm all packed and ready to go. Oregon is in my top 3!
