PEACHES!!!

We don't grow peaches. It is a little too wet and cold here, but a few counties over.....It's time for Peaches!! Nectarines and Cherries too!

(Note from Wyatt's mom: Never give your dog a fruit with the pit in. It can become a digestive obstruction.)
Our neighborhood farm stands have peaches NOW.
They are sooooooo ripe, that mom says, "you have to eat them over the kitchen sink"!
Strawberry, Peach and Pea Pod Salad.
Mmmmm smells good.

I had my first slice of peach, ever. I give it 4 paws up!!

 (just don't eat the pits!)

  4. I don't get the pits... butt my mom DOES give me peach... I love it.
We have 4 small trees, butt they never produce well... beclaws my mom and dad won't put... sprays on them to keep bugs away.. BUTT we always get a FEW.. and mix them with the ones we Buy.. from an orchard that is 15 mins. away. In FACT the last name is... Cherry. I kid you not. Cherry Orchards are kinda Famous around these pawts. My mom's mom went to school with Mr. & Mrs. Cherry and my Mom went to school with their son NEIL.. who runs the orchard now.
YOU enjoy your peaches buddy. AWWWWW the JOY and BOUNTY of SUMMER!!!!

  19. Ohhhh they sound so good. My Mom has been a bit disappointed with the fruit from the shops here - she says they are tasteless and dry. We will be checking out the farmers market tomorrow and see if they anything better

  20. Riley LOVES peaches! My mom and dad are from Georgia, so we always ate lots of peaches growing up! They're one of my favorite fruits. Here in Virginia, we sometimes get some nice ripe ones at the Farmer's Market or a road side stand. The ones they sell in the regular grocery store are usually hard and not sweet at all.

  21. Our Mom just loves peaches and nectarines. We don't get the best selection here, but our human brother and family ordered some Harry and David cherries, peaches, and nectarines for Mom for Mother's Day - the cherries are due to arrive any day now.

That salad looks so pretty AND tasty.
